Mission Admission ...the battle for Child admission.

Well last week I was discussing with my sister the hardest thing she faced her in life in last few years. Her answer was straight to me, “You know it may sound easy to you but getting admission to Mahi to good school is the biggest battle I am facing right now”. I expected that answer but never thought how our education system has changed and it has become much more difficult to get admission in good college.

So the mission Admission starts from January. All the good school either of CBSE and ICES has their own criteria of admission. Some take test of student and some even of the parents. My sister applied for few of the best school my sweet angel. She has almost trained her for 1 year for the interview and test by teaching him home.

My sister wanted to apply for Mahi admission in one of the reputed ICSE School in our city but the problem was getting the admission form of that school. So we have to track lots of sources who have access of that and even the person who can provide details about that. So that school form cost around 1000 bucks and yet you are not sure wheatear your child will get admission.
They have strange admission criteria like father and mother should be well educated, they should have an X amount of salary and the best one they can speak English. Can anybody tell me how that can be main criteria for the child admission.

Nobody ask about how good child is and how talented he or she is. It makes you clueless how to overcome these problems. Well in the end you realize it harder to get admission for child in school then them to IIT or IIM because there their fate will be in hand in but now there fate is in the hand of their respective mother and father even before they have started education.

After trying for too many schools, there was one school which my sister was able to get to admission. Well here also the most important part was the Interview of parent not the child. She told while answering the question she felt like it was her admission test not Mahi. Not a single question was asked for her but all the question was asked to my Sister. The question where do you know English, from where you have done your education, you are science student or arts. Well she can’t get admission of mahi here also due to donation price was way too much.

Well after few tries she finally managed to get her admission in the same school from where we all have done our schooling. Well it’s strange that today admission process has nothing to do with the child age, her ability and her desire but only on parents and the amount they can pay to school.

In the end my sister took the best decision even though I was not part of it and I was the one who opposed it. She decided to give Mahi one year of more freedom. No schooling this year maybe that was the best outcome of it. Next year she has to again go through the same things, same school, admission process and admission form and whole lots of interview.

P.S.: Better be prepared for admission marathon of the school. Read not for your career but for your children.

Searching Job.........Result We will let you know!!!!!!!!!!!

This note is written for all those who are still searching the job and I think they deserve a bit of recognition in the end of the day, for hanging in there for so long and still going strong with full confidence.

Let’s go back to the 4th semester, you go to any college campus and ask any student of final year either studious or the one who are not serious about studies. They all come alive when the season of placement start in the college. They all start buzzing about their future and start cursing college for not getting good placement. Our college was also one of them but the problem was that more strikes  were happening in the college then the placement. Even some strikes also happened for the placement.

Even though some company do came into the college but they all were all for the marketing and marketing. So the HR and finance student were left high and dry without placement. There was very little hope that we will get placement from the college. I hardly visited my placement cell. Even though I stop bothering about placement but still you want to come out of college with placement in some organization. I was no exception to that rule; I tried in first company that came in the campus. It was some software selling company, the profile was I have to call and sell the software to UK or US client. I cleared the written but GD proved to be more tough to clear. When I heard the topic I was dumbstruck, The topic was "Black and While", All the time every body was saying about black is bad color and white is good color. "I like black and it is good color" but by the time I realized or get back in GD to something, The GD was near to its end and I didn’t said a single word. All I was doing was seeing faces of each other.

So I was out of the next round but my misery didn’t end here. The next company for which I tried in the campus it also had a GD round. This time I decided to take initiative and started the GD but again bad luck struck, I was the one who was doing most of talking and not giving others enough chance to say anything. I was just like bullet whose break has been failed. But again I was not selected because of talking too much. So after that time I stopped sitting in college campus and decided to enjoy my day of this campus placement circus.

Well leave my bad luck, Maynak got placement from college but he didn’t join that org. he joined some other org. but the best part was his slogan "I am Graduate, I am Post Graduate and I have Job but Still I am SINGLE...Shame on you Girls" (see even photo to verify it), for others either they were not interested in job or already got some Jugad for placement. I was not interested in the campus placement procedure anymore but others were. In off campus also some joined the insurance selling, some joined some HR company. And rest off like us were more of struggler at that time.

"Mayank with his All time hit slogan on his tsirt"

The best part comedy happened when one of the companies came for placement in campus and only 2 students wanted to sit on the placement procedure. But they too didn’t join because they were offering 2 year contract for the job and no was ready to sign it. I stop thinking about job at that time rest I need to say is History.

My friend Deepak even updated few line for our situation at that time which I think is famous with lots of student these days:
Nateeja ek hi nikla meri kismet me nakami,
Kabhi kuch kah ke pashtaye kabhi chup rah ke pashtaye…….

I hope I will continue writing these types of things, but please see only the funny side. Earlier everyone was fighting for the job but now the situation is different they all are looking for the job change. Not everyone is happy with their job I think.

Take A Look At Yourself And Your Success..

‘Knowledge helps you to reach your destination, provided you know what the Destination is’

When putting a plan together to work on line, deciding what motivates you and creating a compelling vision that moves you towards it, it can be a useful exercise to dedicate some time defining what success will look like for you. If you haven’t looked at a plan for yourself you might find my article ” A strong beginning builds the foundation for a great ending” useful. For a few years now success for me has always been about following my heart, making a difference and living with passion. As long as I am doing one or all three of these things I am successful. What will success look like for you?
If you have been fortunate enough to discover what you are passionate about, your purpose in life, then you are truly blessed. Look at how you can use this to generate passive income. Getting paid doing something we love really puts the fun in work! Brainstorm ideas! Just write them all down. Start by saying ‘I am successful when’ then make a list and see what shows up. Give yourself some time to create this list and then move on to the next stage of this process that will help you define success.
Once you have completed that exercise take a look at your list and rate them on a scale of 1-10 (with 1 being not important and 10 being extremely important) rate your list and then select the top 7-10 (you can select as many as you like but I am using 7 as my example in this article)

Here’s an example for you :
I am successful when I am making people laugh (4 out of 10)
I am successful when I am making $10,000 a week (2 out of 10)
I am successful when I am doing something that inspires me (8 out of 10)
If you are unsure about which is the more important one, answer this question : If I can have x but I can not have y does that matter? So as an example, if I can have peace but I can not have money does that matter? Remember, this is a way of defining your success, so if doing something that inspires is more important then rate it higher than money; if not rate money higher. Go through each one until you have them in a 1-7 order.

Now create one or two sentences of what success means for you using your 7 key words in whatever order you like. So as an example if my key success words were:
1. peace
2. money
3. freedom
4. inspiration
5. making a difference
6. leaving a legacy
7. time for me

Defining success in this way is so very important because it is this definition of success that will keep you motivated when you want to give up. Once you have your definition of success the other thing you need is your business vehicle, the online business that will help you to achieve your vision. I discuss that in another article called ‘Driving the right vehicle to success’ and it is worth reading if you are still trying to figure out what business you want to use to run your internet based business.
So take action and create your definition of success because once you know what it is as long as your online business provides you with the opportunity to achieve it then you are successful. Even if you do not end up earning a six figure sum or becoming a ‘guru’ you are still successful in your own eyes. And they are the only eyes that really matter!

Thus
1. To become a good professional, the student should be very clear in his/her ambition and set appropriate goals for themselves.
2. The priorities for the day should be clear in the mind.
3. Proper time management is very essential (with proper time management a student can easily have 3 hours of relaxation per day and read for 5 hours per day).
4. Mind and body should be kept active. Priorities and ambition may be forgotten if relaxation (though important) is overdone.
