Reservations in CORPORATES..

From past some time, I heard about from my buddies regarding a trend followed by most of Big and Small Companies now days. This trend is basically what we called:

REFERENCE

Reference,,, this term seems very little,, but plays a very big role in Corporate and Candidates life. This trend comes in the market in recent times,, but its effect is very big. Earlier, this trend was followed by big giants only of different fields like Infosys, TCS, Wipro etc. but now almost all big and small companies are now following their footsteps. Even, Startup Companies also prefers to hire candidates on the basis of reference.

Let me explain, “What is Reference in my Knowledge?”
According to me, “Reference is basically a Jack or Guarantee, which an existing candidate in an organization give it for the other person during (whom he/she refer) the Selection procedure within that company about his background, nature and skills etc. “
( May be I’m wrong to explain it correctly,, but never mind about that.. At least, it’s my own definition, not the Google one… J ).

Earlier, reference was started for the companies to make them ensure about a candidate for second opinion from the existing one. This reference plays a role of trust factor for companies to new joiners.
But, now a days this trust factor becomes a Curse factor to most of the intelligent people, i.e. big companies either hire the candidates from Campus directly or they will hire the candidates internally by the help of reference of existing employees. So, the major issue behind this is, sometimes few intelligent candidates who are not selected during interviews or they have less percentage in earlier exams couldn’t get the jobs in these companies because most of them don’t have this so call REFERENCE on those companies.

So, the consequences of that are:
(A)   They got frustrated and some of them surrender themselves for a low salary or for over qualified job.
(B)   As, most of the companies don’t hire fresher’s in off campus, so this will also increase the problems of candidates.
(C)   The result for this is Intelligent are struggling and Losers are enjoying. This means sometimes less qualified people will get a good job due to reference and more qualified can struggle due to this trend.

I heard a very funny thing from my friend about the reference. He said, “I don’t have tension to pass my course. The only thing I am searching for connections in different Companies because companies hire on reference basis not on performance basis in the present scenario.”

At the end, I would like to brief that, Reference is a good thing if it can be use in a significant and careful manner. Misuse of it, will cause such types of problems as mentioned above.
Corporate should also understand their responsibilities towards society and give fair chance to every candidate. This will create a proper balance in the society and worth use of education also.

Versus

From past some time, I have tried to write something but nothing interesting I have seen to write. Then, I have observed one thing which I want to discuss.

Versus…………..

I hate this word and don’t want to be in my life but knowingly-unknowingly it comes in my life and even other’s life as well. It is like a synonym of “Comparison “to whom I against every time.
Almost, all of us can go through with this situation at least once in our life. This word affects little and big things of our day to day life. For ex – ‘Boys v/s Girls’, ‘Love v/s Friendship’, ‘Pass v/s Fail’, ‘India v/s Pakistan’, ‘Rich v/s Poor’, ‘Maruti v/s Toyota’ etc….

We use to compare all things in our surroundings with each other and get tense ourselves. Although, I accepted this fact, that with the help of comparison, sometimes it creates positive impact on a person’s life as he/she becomes motivate to perform at its best. But most of the times, it shatters a person’s confidence and think him/her a useless fellow.

Now, some people can say that those people are Losers, who don’t have the capability to sustain in such pressure. For this, I want to share a saying which I saw somewhere. That saying was:

“If you expect from a Fish, that she can climb a tree,
Then for her whole life, she thinks herself as Stupid…”

With the help of this, I want to say that no one is perfect in every task. If one is stupid in studies, then may be he/she will be genius in Sports, Music or have any other talent. Also, youth compare themselves from their friends or some other higher person with them, like he/she has expensive clothes, shoes and bags or his salary package is higher than me, he scores more than me in exams etc. but never sees the effort of that person to reach at that level.

So, at last if we can remove this word VERSUS from our life, then more than half of our problems will remove because it looks very small but its effect can be very big.

Either we should work hard to fulfill our ambitions, otherwise stop comparing ourselves from others.

The child Inside us..( Saifi and Jayant)...

Well this video is proof that some time we all have child inside us (Especially this is for me and Jayant) as we are the most innocent and cute boys you would ever see.

This is a video of last year when we were in last days of our college days. One day we decided to skip usually routine and go to Dhaba near the reliance fresh in Greater Noida. After dinner in that night we returned around 10 or 11 PM to our flat. There was park just behind our flat but we were not able to enjoy free time in Jhoola because of some kids who think we are too old for these things. After you get saved yourself from kids then there will aunty who will shout at you for the simple thing like, “See yourself, you will broke this thing”.

They all tried to give us the feeling that we are too old for all these things. At the night time the whole park was empty. You could only see the stars in the sky, and that day child inside me and jayant got chance to play.

This video was shot by Vikas and raj without telling us that they are preparing video, but today when I see this video it remind me lots of good thing that I did at that time of year. It was one of the times that I had or might have in my life. I don’t know why I like this video this is one of the best time we had with the child we are losing in our self.

P.S.: Some time we all need to go back to see what we where when no body knew us....

My Corporate Journey....Part 1..

From past few days I have tried to write something but nothing to think or see that what to write. Then suddenly, I got a chance to visit in company and I observed certain things. These things I observed earlier also when I used to give interview for my 1st job but at that time I didn’t have enough time to optimize things in a blog.

Well, certain things I want to discuss with you and still find an answer also of them, I have observed. Those certain things are:

1. Why the guard of that company sees you as a culprit when you are going to enter in the campus?
2. Why everything to be entered in their registers like Name, Address, Mobile no. , blah-blah in such a screamy afternoon?
3. Why the receptionist showing you that attitude “like, she is responsible for the effective working of this company”?
4. Also, when you ask with her regarding to inform the concern person whom you meet, she is giving you the time limit for 10 minutes and waiting you up to 40 minutes?
5. Why the guard playing the double role in the company but getting the salary for a single one, i.e. Security and Receptionist( during lunch hour for 30 minutes or 1 hour, whatever will be the duration)? And also, receptionist trying to take the illegal advantage of this thing by the help of his innocence.
6. Also why that receptionist giving you a weird look if you can ask with her regarding Restroom.......(P.S.: If we have the only option of receptionist to ask this thing, then what should we do at that new place)
7. Also, the condition of meeting place in that particular office is just like the Public Toilet in which you can spend time in a limited amount ( not just like that in a coffee shop) because others also in queue outside for using that bullshit conference room with 1 table and 4 chairs.
8. Sometimes no hospitality can be there and even for a glass of water you have to ask at least 2-3 people for drinking water area to satisfy your thirst.
9. Also, this is the best thing that I have ever seen, means in almost every company you can easily see a guy with a tummy of almost 12 months completion moving freely in the campus with his 2-3 personal assistants kind of fellows.
10. Receptionist continuously put his eyes on Desktop that provided to her to pretend before others regarding how much she is busy.

So, these are certain things that I have observed during my corporate visit. Perhaps, you people can also observed this but probably I am the first one who shows the dare to write these things…………… LOL

P.S. Mr. Jayant is finally back on the blog with bang. He is going to write his corporate exp. in this new series... Wait for more and till then keep asking him question either in blog comment or drop a mail at iecmba2009.11@gmail.com

THAT RICKSHAW WALA...

It was 7.45 in the evening when I left from my office. I was very tired at that time so I was walking down slowly towards the main road to catch the rickshaw to the way to metro station. There is a temporary rickshaw stand over their near my office where so many rickshawwala’s stand for the passengers.

So, it was a normal day for me and I used to go there to catch the rickshaw. So, I asked to a rickshaw wala, “Will you go to that metro station?”……..

He said, “Yes sir!!! But do you know the fare???....

I said, “Yaaa!!! It’s 20 Rs. “A sign of calmness and happiness appeared on her face. Then he replied, “You are so kind of sir,,,, because when some passenger negotiated with me for Rs.15 or less then I feel very sad…..!!!!” Then, I realized,’ how a single penny costs so much for a person like him………’

So, I hired him and he rides his rickshaw towards my destination. In between, a signal came and one another rickshaw came from other side in a high speed, and he overtakes a cyclist who misbalanced due to this sudden act. Then that rickshawwala got stuck into a bike by which that bike felt down on the road. Then, few shopkeepers over that place slapped him very hardly 2-3 times.

Now, I crossed ahead from that incident with my rickshawwala and he became very emotional. I didn’t understand, “Why he was behaving like that in such an emotional way???”……

But after some time, I realized the pain behind his words. Actually the matter was that, “he saw an accident in the morning where a truck driver crushed a cyclist and that cyclist was dead on the spot.”
So, he was very upset on that day. He continuously discussed me about this incident throughout the way. Initially, I thought that he is already drunk and telling so much nonsense, but when I took him seriously, then I realized his feelings. He was continuously abusing to the car, bus or truck drivers and the words of him that inspired me to write this blog are:

“AGAR TUMHARE PASS GADI CHALANE KA LICENCE HAI,,, TO KYA INSANO KO MARNE KA LICENCE BHI MIL GYA KYA TUMHE????.........”

Now, I leave this question on you guys… I know most of them you replied that it happens by mistake, destiny or blah-blah reasons. But are these reasons sufficient to compensate one’s life that lost it in these bloody road accidents.

Is destiny totally responsible for that??? Or, our hurriedness,,,, passion,,, madness,,, style are responsible for that.

My motive to write this blog is not to discuss road safety measures or any other this type of thing. I want to tell one thing is that “Nothing is more important than a person’s life,,, so please be aware and control your passion in such a manner that it doesn’t affect others.

My Journey......

AN INTERESTING/GENUINE/PRACTICAL INCIDENT
I Love Delhi!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not just because it’s my hometown. It is because the happenings and incidents that happens day to day over here makes me proud that I am a Delhite……

Well, I would like to share my bus journey which I faced last time. I am very much use to in travelling by Bus. But last Monday journey was little bit different for me.
Actually I left from my house at 9.30 am to catch the bus for my office. As, I have to cover my half distance by bus and half by Metro Train. So, when I reached at the bus stop, there was no one at that bus stop except a person who was selling tobacco, cigarettes, toffees etc. I was waiting from past half an hour but not a single bus came which could be useful for me. In between that time period, I had seen 12-15 people at that bus stop which was unbelievable for me at that day because it was not so much popular among commuters.

After half an hour, a red colored (A/C) DTC bus came over there and approximately 80% people caught that bus including me. So, I gave Rs.5 more than the usual fare I use to give for that distance because of its so called A/C which I have never found in that type of buses.

After 2 bus stops there was a huge crowd jumped over the bus and my nose was stick next to the cheek of the man who was standing beside me. One of the uncles seems 40-45 years was screaming badly because his hand got stuck in the door of that bus as Mr. Driver closed the so called doors due to passenger’s safety. His elbow was outside that bus and remaining body parts were inside that bus. He told to conductor, “@* %$>: open the door”. Then the door was opened and he took a long deep breadth just like his loose motion has been cured with desi treatments.

2-3 girls were standing in front of me having with decent fragrance struggled to find out a support to make themselves comfortable in such a concert [seems that Backstreet Boys were going to perform in that bus after watching that crowd]. Few teenagers tried to stick with them, but got demotivated due to their angry looks.

But a most interesting character was standing beside me. He told that “I am feeling very much hesitation in that bus.” I didn’t understand why he was feeling hesitation but suddenly I realized that he meant to say ‘suffocation’ instead of hesitation.

On that day, I realized if I use to travel with my own conveyance, then I really missed those cherished moments which I enjoyed on that day. It was a wonderful experience indeed.
HAT’S OFF TO PUBLIC TRANSPORT……………
